Season Welcome and Sponsorship

American Legion Baseball is the only organization in Bozeman that sponsors highly competitive and organized baseball for high-school aged boys. The program gives back to the community by bringing teams and their families and fans from across the state and region to Bozeman. Our ballpark hosts over 40 regular season games, as well as in-season and post-season tournaments. In July, we are hosting the AA State Tournament at our own Legion Field at Heroes Park.

  • 2016 Bucks AA

The Bozeman American Legion Baseball program is a parent-run organization with no paid employees other than essential coaching staff. While parents pay considerable fees for their sons to participate, the cost of running the program exceeds the amount generated through players fees, ticket sales and concessions.

I want to be a Buck!

We have all heard young baseball players, in Bozeman, say they want to be a “Buck”. At last night’s Executive Committee meeting it was unanimously voted to update all 3 of the Bozeman American Legion Post 14 team names to be the “Bucks”. Going into 2017 all of the Legion Baseball levels of AA, A, and B will now simply be the Bucks. Exciting times in local baseball, with the new coaching staff and team naming to kick off the 2017 season.

Each new season brings afternoons and evenings at our beautiful ballpark; some say it’s the best in the state. And this new season brings a new coaching staff. We are excited to introduce our new Director of Baseball Operations/Head Coach, Rich Poliquin.
Coach P. comes to Bozeman after several winning seasons with the Bitteroot Red Sox. The Red Sox A team won District, State and Regional titles in 2015 and in 2016. He was assistant varsity head coach at a 5A high schol and coached club ball in Arizona. Coach P. played high school ball in California awhere his team played in the state finals at Dodger Stadium. He played college ball at Cerritos Junior College in California and Conners State College in Oklahoma, where an injury cut short his pitching career. Coach P. looks forward to the coming success of the Bucks program.
