Bozeman Bucks – AA watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 18-8 loss to Billings Halos on Sunday. Billings Halos scored on an error, a groundout by Sieler, and a double by Williams in the first inning.

Bozeman Bucks – AA collected 13 hits and Billings Halos had 14 in the high-scoring affair

Bozeman Bucks – AA took an early lead in the first inning. Bozeman Bucks – AA scored one run when Michael Freund singled with zero outs in the first inning.

Billings Halos took the lead for good with five runs in the first inning. In the first there was an error, scoring one run, Ryan Evenson induced Sieler to ground out, but one run scored, and Williams doubled off of Evenson, driving in three runs.

Bozeman Bucks – AA scored three runs in the fifth inning. Bozeman Bucks – AA‘s big inning was driven by a double by Andrew Purpura and a single by Bailey Paddock.

Billings Halos scored five runs in the fifth inning. Billings Halos’s big inning was driven by a groundout and a single by Calderwood.

Morgenstern earned the win for Billings Halos. He tossed five and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs, 13 hits, striking out one, and walking zero. Evenson took the loss for Bozeman Bucks – AA. He went one inning, allowing seven runs, five hits, and striking out two.

Tyler DobieFreund, and Purpura each collected multiple hits for Bozeman Bucks – AAPurpura led Bozeman Bucks – AA with three runs batted in. He went 2-for-3 on the day.

Ben VossNolan AskelsonCalderwood, and Hickey each collected multiple hits for Billings Halos. Kay went 1-for-5 at the plate as he led the team with five runs batted in.
