Many Hands Make Light Work for Saturday Spring Cleaning

That was the case this Saturday as players, parents and volunteers took to the field to get ready for the coming season. Some of the work included:

  • New flag poles installation for armed service flags
  • New decking on patio area
  • New decking and seating on the north and south bleachers
  • Sod cutting all the base paths
  • Homebase “halo” removal and installation
  • Cleaning up and out all the buildings
  • Sweeping all the areas

We want to give a special thanks to the following organizations:

Season Welcome and Sponsorship

American Legion Baseball is the only organization in Bozeman that sponsors highly competitive and organized baseball for high-school aged boys. The program gives back to the community by bringing teams and their families and fans from across the state and region to Bozeman. Our ballpark hosts over 40 regular season games, as well as in-season and post-season tournaments. In July, we are hosting the AA State Tournament at our own Legion Field at Heroes Park.

The Bozeman American Legion Baseball program is a parent-run organization with no paid employees other than essential coaching staff. While parents pay considerable fees for their sons to participate, the cost of running the program exceeds the amount generated through players fees, ticket sales and concessions.

I want to be a Buck!

We have all heard young baseball players, in Bozeman, say they want to be a “Buck”. At last night’s Executive Committee meeting it was unanimously voted to update all 3 of the Bozeman American Legion Post 14 team names to be the “Bucks”. Going into 2017 all of the Legion Baseball levels of AA, A, and B will now simply be the Bucks. Exciting times in local baseball, with the new coaching staff and team naming to kick off the 2017 season.
